I am a nurse and I am very skeptical of many medications --- both OTC and prescription. It is my experience that if something works as advertised, it is usually not without unwanted side effects. Not so with Orthogel. I've had very painful arthritis at the base of both thumbs. Naproxen is not relieving the pain that is always present when I use my hands, but there are Orthogel 3 to 4 times a day works great --- without side effects! It is not a cure, but it makes it much easier to handle the problem. It may not work for everyone, but the difference is pretty big for me. A little old lady told me about it - God love her:) I had previously tried another topical called Triflora Arthritis Gel. It took no more than moisturize my hands.
